GloriaFood on your WordPress site: what to do before 30 April 2027

Published by ARDOIZA, the trading name of Hamar Azzi, sole trader

On 30 April 2027, the GloriaFood buttons on your website will stop working. You keep your website: ARDOIZA imports your menu and makes your old buttons work, once the box is ticked at the end of the setup assistant. The person who looks after your website installs it: you forward them the email we send you.

ARDOIZA is a commission-free table booking and takeaway ordering service for restaurants, open to businesses registered in France (SIRET number required). The import, screen by screen, is in the Replace GloriaFood guide.

What changes on your site on 30 April 2027

According to the FAQ published by Oracle (version 1.0, March 2026), all GloriaFood products and services end on 30 April 2027, including online ordering, on the free plan as well as the paid plans. A paid service may end earlier, when its last renewal runs out.

The GloriaFood plugin (the ‘Menu - Ordering - Reservations’ add-on installed in WordPress) and its buttons stay on your site, but with no service behind them: your customers can no longer book or order through them. Your theme, your pages, your domain name and your host do not change.

The dates and a suggested timeline are on the GloriaFood shutting down page.

GloriaFood is a trademark of Oracle Corporation. ARDOIZA is an independent product, not affiliated with Oracle.

Table booking: your old buttons open ARDOIZA

The booking plugin, Ardoiza Bookings, takes table bookings on your site. The request reaches the ARDOIZA Pro app, you confirm it in one tap, and your customer receives the confirmation by email.

Your old GloriaFood booking buttons open the ARDOIZA booking window when you tick ‘Make my old GloriaFood buttons open ARDOIZA’ at the end of the setup assistant, after a successful import. In the plugin's settings, the same box is called ‘My old GloriaFood buttons open ARDOIZA’. Until then, they still send your customers to GloriaFood.

Booking buttons are only taken over if the Ardoiza Bookings plugin is active and up to date on your site.

Your GloriaFood booking shortcodes (the codes in square brackets placed in your pages, such as [restaurant-reservations], [reservations] or [restaurant-opening-hours] for opening hours) show ARDOIZA once the GloriaFood plugin is deactivated. The setup assistant imports your booking hours.

Takeaway ordering: your ordering pages stay

The takeaway ordering plugin, Ardoiza Click & Collect, takes orders for collection. Your ordering pages stay as they are: once the GloriaFood plugin is deactivated, the [restaurant-menu-and-ordering] and [ordering] shortcodes show the ARDOIZA ordering button, [restaurant-full-menu] the full menu and [restaurant-promotions] your promotions. There is no page to re-edit.

While the GloriaFood plugin is active, it keeps control of these shortcodes. The ‘Make my old GloriaFood buttons open ARDOIZA’ box also covers your other ordering buttons, which then open the ARDOIZA ordering window.

The GloriaFood widgets (the blocks placed in the sidebar or footer, under ‘Appearance’, then ‘Widgets’) disappear with the GloriaFood plugin: replace them with an ARDOIZA button first.

Your menu imported by the setup assistant

The setup assistant finds your GloriaFood account on your site and shows a preview with figures, without writing anything. It then imports your categories, your dishes with their prices, sizes and options, your photos, your basket discounts, your booking and collection hours. Allow a few minutes for a menu of around fifty dishes.

The import creates no duplicates, and ‘Undo this import’ removes only what the import created.

Run the import while your GloriaFood service is still running: the setup assistant reads your menu at GloriaFood, and once the service has stopped, the import is no longer possible.

What is not imported

  • your past orders and bookings: the setup assistant cannot read them, so export them from GloriaFood before your service ends;
  • delivery, delivery discounts and free-item discounts;
  • meal deals, dishes limited to certain days, options ticked by default;
  • per-dish VAT, which you set yourself.

Allergens arrive as ‘not specified’: fill them in dish by dish before going live. Customers are imported separately, from a CSV file (the table of your customers exported from GloriaFood), in the Ardoiza Customers plugin.

Which plan for a WordPress site?

  • The Basic plan, €29 a month. The ARDOIZA plugins for your WordPress site, with a licence (the right to use them) for one site: table booking, takeaway ordering with no limit on orders, promotions and the ARDOIZA Pro app. Your orders, bookings and customer list stay on your own site, with your own host.
  • The Pro plan, €89 a month. The website hosted by ARDOIZA and the WordPress plugins, with a licence for three sites, up to three venues in one account, sales and booking statistics and priority support.

Both plans have no commitment and no commission. One 30-day free trial per account: a bank card is required, but nothing is charged before the trial ends. Each plan is described on the Our plans page.

Who takes care of it?

The person who looks after your WordPress website installs ARDOIZA, with administrator access to the site. Here is what happens after ‘Try it free for 30 days’:

  1. you create your account (SIRET number required) and choose the Basic plan or the Pro plan;
  2. you save your bank card on the secure page of Stripe, our payment provider: €0 that day, nothing is charged during the 30-day trial;
  3. you receive the ‘ARDOIZA: To forward to the person who looks after your website’ email. It contains your activation code (the ‘licence key’), the link to the plugins and the steps: you forward it to them;
  4. they install the plugins, paste the key and follow the setup assistant, which imports your menu. When your website is linked, you receive the ‘Your website is linked’ email: then install the ARDOIZA Pro app on your phone.

Nobody looks after your website, or you do not know who? Simply reply to our email: we will help you install it.

What about the free ARDOIZA PRO plugin?

The free ARDOIZA PRO plugin, available in the official WordPress plugin directory, is neither the Pro plan nor the ARDOIZA Pro app: it is a separate tool, an online menu with the 14 allergens, a QR code of the menu and a simple table booking request form, with no ARDOIZA account. The free ARDOIZA PRO plugin does not import from GloriaFood: not your menu, not your shortcodes, not your buttons. The import is done with the plugins of the Basic plan and the Pro plan.

Frequently asked questions about GloriaFood and WordPress

Do I need to rebuild my WordPress site?

No. You keep your theme, your pages, your domain name and your host.

Do my old GloriaFood buttons open ARDOIZA by themselves?

Your GloriaFood shortcodes do, once the GloriaFood plugin is deactivated. Your other old buttons open ARDOIZA when you tick ‘Make my old GloriaFood buttons open ARDOIZA’ at the end of the setup assistant, after a successful import. Until then, they still send your customers to GloriaFood.

When should I deactivate the GloriaFood plugin?

Once you are happy with your menu and your test order has gone through, not before. Replace your GloriaFood widgets with an ARDOIZA button first. The setup assistant never deactivates GloriaFood for you: it is done in the ‘Plugins’ menu of WordPress.

Does the free ARDOIZA PRO plugin import from GloriaFood?

No. The free ARDOIZA PRO plugin provides an online menu with allergens, a QR code and a simple booking request form. The GloriaFood import is done with the plugins of the Basic plan and the Pro plan.

Can I try before I pay?

Yes. The Basic plan and the Pro plan come with a 30-day free trial, once per account. A bank card is required, but nothing is charged before the trial ends.
